Sounds good doesn't it? Sounds maybe even fair? The only catch is that you MUST agree with the left wing view or all the above is disqualified. Your permitted your right to freedom of speech and peaceful protest provided it falls in line with the leftist perceptions and views. If not...well then they exercise the "right" to stifle your freedom of speech as well as unpeacfully silence your right to peacful protest.
Such was the case for Rose Mawhorter On April 7th, 2006 Rose was attacked and assualted by an unknown assailant for ...guess what? Exercising her democratic right to peacefully protest the genocidal practise we like to sugar coat with the medically known term abortion.I find it rather odd how many "pro-choicer's" can be permitted to shout out loud about their "right to end life" in the city streets without any interference but when the shoe is on the other foot "It simply will not be tolerated". The pro choice advocate seems to have the self appointed "right" to silence any in opposition to their views. For those who may be questioning the whole incident was caught on tape . Be aware of the language content as some of these pro choice advocates are so full of rage when you confront them about their human indignities.
Of course they are probably just overtired from screaming at anti-war rallies about all the senseless killing's going on over in the middle east. Not even realising the soldiers are fighting for their democratic right's to snuff out the life of their own children here at home. Sheesh, how ungrateful.
You have guts Rose Mawhorter. Stand firm sister and stand tall. The killing of the innocent should NEVER be tolerated for the sake of "convience".

It’s unfortunate that on such important issues emotions can get the best of some. Resorting to physical violence, aggression, or any other ad baculum position only elucidates to the limitations of one’s own ability to defend their position intellectually. My assumption is that most pro-choicers would abstain from such tactics. However, it would be interesting to see the general reaction to the incident by their proponents. Have you heard any reports on that?

No reports so far but I too would be just as interested in hearing about their view of this type of reaction towards someone exercising their democratic right to peacful protest.

I think you may have missed the point of my entry although I am not sure I have made it quite as clear either. Allow me to address this the best I can as I understand this is a sensitive area for just about everyone on both sides of the issue being passionate in their stand.

I admit myself that I would not be one of those who would hold one of these placecards in front of an abortion clinic and yet I chose to post one on this site. I struggled with that decision but I was reminded of two things. First the Word of God when He said in Jeremiah 1:5
"...I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb."
Before we are even concieved God already know's us. This impresses upon me just how much He values life and that it begins with Him at the time of conception. It is not something to be so easily discarded because it may upset our current life situation.
The second thing is here in Canada our Governmental agency known as Stats Can (Statistics Canada) tell us that 98% of abortions performed are NOT medically necessary. This is why I chose to display this photo.
The act that we could so callously throw away the little life of a helpless baby is completely unfathomable to me. Especially when life is ended because a child is considered to be an "inconvience" at that particular time in life. That is a selfish attitude to take. At least give the child up for adoption to parents who cannot concieve but would love to have that ability.
I felt the photo sends the message, the truth, and the reality of what is going on everyday. If it makes someone "feel bad"..well, maybe it should. Seeing a picture like that forces us to acknowledge how low we are sinking.
I am astounded at how people will get up in arms over the treatment of helpless baby seals getting clubbed over the head and not blink an eye at the same painful death a child expeirence's thru an abortion. I strongly feel there is no defence for this kind of treatment of our own kind.
But back to the point of the entry..

I do not know if you are referring to the video link or not but in this particular case I was pointing out that the protest was peaceful and that the loud, screaming woman was, obviously, a pro choiceperson not willing to tolerate(not agree) the other side's right to disagree.

I agree. And I, like yourself, take exception to even the pro-lifer's who behave in such a manner. However this was not the case in this video clip. And whether we like the place cards or not these people were demonstrating under lawful guidelines that grant them the right to peaceful protest. The pro choice individual was out of line. If a pro lifer committed this act upon a pro- choicer it would have made national headlines.
Although I stand by my convictions I hope no insult was taken.
I can find no criterion for categorically descriminating between a newborn and a 24-week fetus. If one ought to be able to abort either, she ought to be able to abort both.
And the incapability of a parent to support a child does not justify him/her in killing it.

I understand where you are coming from. These "words" sound fair and good in description but when interpretation is allowed to run rampant they can easily lose their meaning and a person tends to develope a disdain towards them. Instead they( the words democracy, human rights, justice, etc.) become overused and abused.

Alright already it's coming.
In between being sick and riding I have just not been all that inspired to write...at least something controversial which is what I thrive on!
But I have some ideas coming and as you can tell I am in the process of revamping my site. I still need to figure out how I can transfer all my "bloggin' buddies" links and post my latest banner.
Then my site will look almost as good as myself :)
